Lubov helps people that need it most, supporting homeless youth and aiding poverty reduction via the provision of safe living spaces, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
She is a major donor to several charities including Centrepoint, a UK- based youth homelessness charity; she is a Co-Chair of Ability2Win, a UK-based charity enabling people with a disability to participate in public life; and she is Ambassador for Esharelife, which tackles global poverty.
She also works with UK military veterans and actively supports women’s empowerment efforts.
Centrepoint
Lubov is a dedicated supporter of Centrepoint, a prominent charity that provides housing and assistance to young people in various cities and regions across the UK, including London, Manchester, Yorkshire, and the Northeast. Centrepoint’s ultimate goal is to bring an end to youth homelessness by 2037, ensuring that no young person will require their services by the time they turn 16.
This impactful organisation has gained the royal patronage of Prince William, HRH, The Prince of Wales, who has been actively involved since 2005, following the footsteps of his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Lubov is proud to be one of the earliest donors to Centrepoint’s Independent Living programme. Her support enabled the charity to build some of the first Independent Living homes, a ground-breaking initiative that supports young people with a job, apprenticeship, or training opportunity.
Centrepoint remains dedicated to expanding the Independent Living programme, with plans underway to construct 300 affordable homes for young individuals. These homes will provide a crucial steppingstone towards a future beyond homelessness.
Lubov’s ongoing commitment to Centrepoint reflects her passion for supporting young people in need and helping them build a brighter future. Demonstrating her dedication to making a difference, Lubov recently participated in the 100-mile cycling ride known as RideLondon-Essex 100, raising money for Centrepoint.
Case study:
Juliet was 15 when her relationship with her mother broke down. However, sponsors like Lubov provided her with the opportunity to begin again. Over the course of two years, Centrepoint helped her plan her next steps and she has now been offered a place at university.
Case study:
Tom was estranged from his family, following years of abuse from his father. Shortly after, Tom ended up homeless, sofa surfing and even spending the night in a police cell. However, thanks to sponsors like Lubov, Tom was given a safe, comfortable room as well as support from a psychotherapist to help him overcome his trauma. Today, Tom has a home of his own and is now completing his education.
Esharelife
Lubov is an Ambassador for Esharelife, a charity which supports the most vulnerable people living in disadvantaged areas of the world. From Kenya to Afghanistan, Esharelife seeks to empower communities by widening access to quality education, helping to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by fostering social mobility and inclusion, with a particular focus on supporting access to education for women and girls.
Over the last few years, she has been a dedicated supporter of Esharelife’s project, ‘Tackling Gender Inequality in Baringo Country’, which seeks to combat female genital mutilation (FGM), child, early and forced marriages (CEFM), and gender-based violence (GBV).
Ability2Win
Lubov is a Co-Chair of Ability2Win, a non-profit community organisation that is dedicated to enabling people with disabilities to actively participate in public life. The organisation provides mentoring, training, and career development opportunities to individuals seeking public office, at a local or national level.
With only 5 MPs in Parliament being people with a disability, despite disabled people comprising over 20 percent of working age adults in the UK, Ability2Win advocates for a more inclusive society.
